Will Atsushi Fukuyama win the 2026 Yokohama mayoral election?
The next Yokohama mayoral election is scheduled to be held on October 18, 2026, to elect the mayor of Yokohama, Japan (横浜市長). The election is being held following the resignation of Mayor Takeharu Yamanaka on September 7, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Yokohama as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by April 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the result of the election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as declared by the Yokohama City Election Administration Commission (https://www.city.yokohama.lg.jp/).
